Met Gala Favorite

The Met Ball started in 1948 when the Costume Institute was founded at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  It is an annual gala which celebrates the opening exhibition at the Costume Institute.  This is the fashion world's biggest red carpet event.  My favorite look this year was January Jones.  Absolute perfection.  I love that she is wearing coral lipstick which is this year's color, and her turquoise necklace sets off her neon dress which is so on trend.  To top it all off, her "lob" is my favorite hair cut this year.  Oh i love her hair!

I found Lisa Eldridge by chance a few years ago.  I idolize her.  She is a celebrity makeup artist, she is genius.  There are countless videos on her website featuring herself giving makeup tutorials.  Anyone can follow her instruction and she always shares the products she uses.  Best of all she delivers it all in the Queen's English!

Happy Birthday

This year Hermes will celebrate it's 175th anniversary, as Hermes fashion house was born in 1837.  An exhibition in London will showcase many of their designs over the years.  I expect many more years to come!
