Emerald

I posted a year ago the color for 2012 decided by Pantone.  The color of the year for 2013 is Emerald, which I think is the prettiest green.  It goes along with the jewel color trend this year...  I love seeing it in makeup right now but you will surely see it everywhere!

Classic

I can't wait to see the movie Anna Karenina...  The hats, jewelry and clothes will have me mesmerized.  Oh, and I'm sure I will love the hair!  I have already seen influences today in romantic hair, clothes, and makeup in deep jewel tones with gold embellishments.

Beauty Blender!

I have read about this makeup tool in several different magazines but I have never tried it.  A good friend just gave me one and I love it!  One side is great for detail work, the other for applying blush and blending.  Now I know why it gets rave reviews...

Fringe

Richard Ward of Richard Ward salon recently cut Kate Middleton's bangs, which they call fringe in the UK.  They will probably be all the rage now...  Click on his name for the link to his website which is interesting and fun.  From prices to the team it's another world in London!

Happy Wednesday!

“People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.”  Mother Teresa
