Mr. Selfridge

My new "show" of the moment I'm watching is Mr. Selfridge on PBS.  It is about the beginning of Selfridges department store in London.  I wasn't completely sold by the first episode, but I'm into my third now and I'm loving it...  History, fashion, history of retail, innovation, and London.  Ah, I'm a happy girl!

Grateful

I quite possibly have the best clients a hairstylist could ask for!  After noticing my orchid was dying, a sweet client brought me a fresh new one to brighten my salon!

Sandal Season

In an effort to get my feet ready for sandal season, I did a little research...  A lotion with alpha hydroxy or lactic acid is highly recommended.  Amlactin, which can be purchased at drugstores has worked miracles!  It is the ONLY foot cream that has ever really worked...  Can't wait to wear those sandals!

Can't Wait

Tamara Mellon has a memoir coming out in October, In Her Shoes.  I don't think I can wait that long!  She is most known as the founder of Jimmy Choo, but this book will detail why she left Jimmy Choo and hopefully some insight into what her new venture will be...  Her father was cofounder of the Vidal Sassoon salon chain and her mother was a Chanel model.  She was married to Mathew Mellon, an oil and banking heir.  I love her personal sense of style as well as her homes!  This will be a fun read...
