In honor of the 4th of July weekend, I recommend a visit to the National Museum of American History for the First Ladies Exhibit at the Smithsonian. I loved seeing the gowns of the First Ladies, the oldest being a gown worn by Martha Washington. My favorite was Jacqueline Kennedy's gown she wore to the first state dinner in 1961. This would be in fashion today, she had such timeless style!
