In honor of The Great Gatsby, I thought I'd give the history of finger waves.  In the 1920's, flappers cut their hair short in a bob style.  A bit of rebellion for the time.  To soften the hard lines of the cropped cut, finger waves became popular.   They became commonplace once the movie stars of the day wore them on film.  Finger waves are reintroduced through the years, but they always bring to mind the distinct time period they were the most popular, the roaring 20's...
