I have assisted many people in their decision making process when it came to donating their hair to organizations that use the hair for wigs and hairpieces. I often have to burst the bubble of someone who has grown their hair for months only to discover that their previously colored or layered hair won't be used by these organizations. Most argue their way through this realization, not ready to accept this information. My final advice is to send it in regardless because it is really about the act of kindness and generosity that changes lives.
